AMA Dance and Music School

I absolutely love AMA! I signed up my 4 year old for her first dance/tumble class this year honestly expecting her to only learn a few little things. Wow, was I wrong! She has been learning alot of little routines that she loves to perform every night for us, we cannot wait until her first recital. It’s obvious that AMA has AMA-zing teachers and staff but they also care about each student; we are not “just a number”. And if the classes for my daughter are not wonderful enough, the bonus was first year boys are FREE, so my son also is able to attend and learn as well! If this first year with AMA is any indication, my children will have many years of fun and learning ahead of them!

When I was looking for activites for my two year year old daughter I struggled to find the “dancing class” she begged for. Through my neighbor I found AMA and am so glad I do. AnnMarie takes the time to not only know her students, but to know their families as well. Delaney loves her tap/ballet class so much that the first few weeks she insisted on sleeping in her leotard! (We’ve since convinced her to sleep in her Property of AMA “dancing shirt”). After such success with my 2 year old we also enrolled my son in a hip hop class- another happy dancer! Thank you AMA for offering classes for all types and ages of dancers!

Another fantastic year at AMA! The show was amazing. Keep up the great work – it’s a wonderful place to be.

While I did leave AMA for a few years for personal reasons, this 40-something is exicted to be back! Good teachers, a great show and exercise are just a few of the reasons I decided to return to AMA. The kids are fun and keep me young at heart. Can’t wait for “All In A Days Work”!

Now you tell me where can you find all of this ANY PLACE ELSE. Being part of a Show to perform in no matter your age or talent is a wonderful feeling or if you choose to help behind the scenes you are always welcome.
This is only a few things you will find when you walk into AMA STUDIO & meet Miss AnnMarie,this is the very friendly, sweet and very caring lady that puts all of this together to have the best Teachers—Office Management—Parties of all kinds. WOW!!
I am one of the Oldest (think 70) students here and I always walk away from classes feeling Young–Beautiful–Talented–Energized and of course one of the STARS.If you haven’t tried a class you are missing so much fun.Thanks for it all.

I just had to write about how much I LOVE teaching at AMA.

I’ve been a teacher at AMA for two years, and have absolutely fallen in love with the amazing staff and students here. I’ve been teaching dance for over 10 years, and have taught in Virginia, Washington D.C., New York, Florida, and Chicago, and this studio is hands down the best one I’ve ever worked at. The teachers are not only proficient in their fields, but are open and encouraging to ALL levels and ages of students. And I love that AMA throws parties and holds events outside of the classroom, hosting lock-ins and pizza parties and even cook outs over the summer, it really establishes great student/teacher relationships that are unlike any I’ve ever seen. The teachers really care about each student and each family and go out of their way to establish personal relationships and meet the needs of everyone that goes here. That’s definitely not something you find anywhere else.

I don’t know if it goes without saying, but the students at AMA are the best…coming to class and teaching is the highlight of my week. (Really, it is!) And I love the addition of so many boys classes this year, I am so excited to teach them every week and I am so impressed by how quickly they are learning and how much fun they have in class. I know that every student here is a superstar, and I love watching them perform on stage! The recitals are professional and extremely well put together, each year we have a different theme and I’m especially excited for this year’s AMA at the Oscars! (And just in case, June 12 & 13 is our recital at Maine East…make sure to plan to attend now! It’ll be AMAzing!)

I wish I could tell EVERYone how great this studio is, and how much genuine enthusiasm Miss Ann Marie has about every student and every class taught here. She is an amazing dancer, an amazing studio owner, and an amazing person to work for. I’ve truly never met anyone who puts so much effort into brightening and enriching the lives of others. It is truly my pleasure to work here.

Ann Marie knows how to throw a great party! Thanks to Ann Marie and all of the teachers who were at the “Lock In”…what more could you ask for, great food, good friends and a whole lot of FUN!
My son absolutely LOVES his tumbling class and I can’t believe that boys get to take classes at AMA for FREE! Everyone at AMA is so patient and kind…but most importantly, you can tell that they absolutely love working with kids :) I can’t wait to see the AMA show in June…I have heard the past shows were AMAzing!

I LOVE TO DANCE and I had a great time dancing in the mother daughter dance with my daughter and my 2 granddaughters. AMA Dancers & Co. is the place to learn and have fun.

My daughter has been attending AMA since the begining and we cant imagine going any place else. We live in Chicago so it is about a 30 minute drive every Saturday and we would drive an hour if we had to. AMA is a great place to learn the art of dance.
All the teachers are very knowledgeable and treat each student like they are very special. My daughter loves her Saturdays mornings at AMA. I also enjoy watching how much fun she is having in class. Last year Ms Ann Marie came up with the idea to have a mother daughter class which we took and we had a blast. My daughter loved the fact that we were in the recital together. That was very fun. Because I enjoyed myself so much I decided to take an adult class this fall and I am looking forward to it. In my opinion there is no other choice for a dance studio then AMA.

I sent my two kids, one a girl and one a boy to AMA last year. I travel from Bartlett, which is 45-60 minutes away. The reason I do this, is because AMA is so much better than the park district. My daughter used to cry because the instructor was not kid friendly to her. She loves Miss Ann Marie and loved “being on stage” for the concert. I recommended a friend to AMA, and her son also loved the class. They do a great job!!!!

This will be our third year at AMA and we couldn’t be happier. From the first time my daughter visited the studio, we felt welcome. AMA has a real family feeling to it and I always feel like my daughter is cared for and important to the staff and teachers. I also really like the individual attention they give to each girl’s (and boy’s) progress. Your child moves along based on their needs.

The recital this year was phenomenal! Every dancer is a star! The children really have an opportunity to showcase what they have learned and we LOVE the big production numbers. They are showstoppers!

I recommend AMA dance studio for all pre-school students!

Before finding AMA dance studio, we had enrolled my daughter in other dance studios in the area and in neighboring park districts and we were never 100% satisfied with the programs. Since my daughter was only 4 years old, I was starting to feel that I was expecting too much out of these other programs. A relative recommended that we try out AMA and feel so lucky that we did! We found just what we were looking for!

The dance and gymnastics classes are structured, promote positive attitudes and teamwork and are run very professionally. The preschool students are taught more advanced dance concepts and are also taught how to act properly in the dance studio. Being an extremely shy little girl, Ms. Ann Marie always makes my daughter feel welcome and allows her to excel at her own pace. Ms Ann Marie and her staff build up such self confidence in the little ones that my daughter had no problem performing at the recital with a gymnasium filled of guests!

The AMA circus recital was the BEST recital that I have ever been part of. The show was so good that my mother in law came twice to see the show! It was fun, fast-moving and very memorable.

In addition to running top notch classes, Ms. Ann Marie goes above and beyond to do such nice things for the kids. For example, my daughter received a hand written birthday card with a long personal note that she still keeps on her dresser. Among other things, AMA also had a free “pamper” day for the kids where the students and a friend got their nails and face painted and their makeup done. Ms. Ann Marie also hosted a student appreciation party for all her students at her own home! All in all, Ms. Ann Marie makes everyone, including the parents feel welcome.

We feel so lucky that we found AMA!

This is our first summer enrolling with AMA Dancers & Co. I’m impressed with the variety of fine arts opportunities this facility offers year round such as, multiple types of dancing instruction, tumbling and best of all music lessons. It’s one stop ‘shopping’ for parents who want quality instructors in a fun environment! I’m so glad to have found out about AMA Dancers & Co. and so are my girls!
